Sean McKnight Memorial Scholarship


Purpose:

The purpose of the KA Hammond Alumni Chapter Sean McKnight Memorial Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to a deserving Epsilon Kappa Chapter student, and to acknowledge the contributions and memory of our former alumni chapter president, Sean McKnight. He was a leader in the active Epsilon Kappa chapter and continued to lead as an alumnus. He was initiated in the Fall of 1995. Sean McKnight truly embodied the spirit and what it means to be a KA. He was a brother that you could count on. Being a KA is not just while you are in college; it is for life. With this scholarship, Sean McKnight will continue to help his KA Brothers.


The Sean McKnight Memorial Scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $500 each semester.


Criteria For Selection:


  1. Must be an initiated member of the Epsilon Kappa Chapter of Kappa Alpha Order.
  2. Must include two letters of recommendation (cannot be a KA Alumnus or KA Faculty Advisor)
  3. Must include a 500 word biography
  4. Must be an active member or new member in good standing with Epsilon Kappa Chapter and the University
  5. Must be a full time student (A full time student is defined as a student enrolled in 12 hours of credit courses)
  6. Minimum 3.0 GPA
